Kadhai or Wok

Ingredients
  

  • ½ kg chicken ( boneless )
  • ¼ kg shallots ( pearl onion )
  • 20 dry chillies
  • ½ teaspoon mustard seed
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 3 tablespoon oil ( vegetable oil )
  • 2 sprig curry leaves
  • ¼ teaspoon salt ( to taste )
  • ¾ cup water

Instructions
 

  • Get ready with all the ingredients required.
  • Heat oil in a kadhai on a medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add cut Shallots and dry chillies in the oil and saute well.
  • When shallots are translucent, add chicken, turmeric powder, curry leaves and salt to taste and mix well.
  • Now add ¾ cup water and cook with lid covered.
  • Stir occasionally and let it cook for 15 mins until tender and dry. Finally garnish it with curry leaves and transfer into a bowl.
  • Yummy ,easy and Simple Pallipalayam Chicken Fry/Easy Chicken Fry is ready to devour as a Starter or Side dish for Sambhar rice ,Rasam rice or any Flavoured rice.

Notes

Use small or Bite sized Boneless chicken .
Use only Shallots/Pearl onion as recipe calls .
Do not add any other extra ingredients to increase the flavour . If added you may not get the authentic taste of this recipe.
