SOAKING THE DRY FRUITS

Soaking the dry fruits in Alcohol is the first sign of welcoming Christmas. Has your Christmas prep started? If not, “better late than ever”!

Course Condiments

Ingredients
  

  • 150 gm cranberries
  • 150 gm black currant
  • 150 gm rasins
  • 300 gm tutti frutti ( red & orange )
  • 150 gm dates ( deseeded )
  • 2 cups red wine

Instructions
 

  • Get ready with all the ingredients. De seed Dates and chop into pieces. Chop cranberries into small pieces.
  • In a dry bowl add all the dry fruits as shown.
  • Add Red wine to the chopped dry fruits and mix with a dry wooden spoon.
  • In a clean dry ,air-tight glass jar fill the dry fruit mixture to half leaving half empty space. Do not fill up to the brim as the fruits soaks and occupies the empty space.
  • Seal the jar well and store in a cool ,dry place away from sunlight. Every 2 to 3 days, give the fruits a mix and if it is dry add ¼ cup of wine and stir once again with a clean wooden spatula. Continue this process until you fix a date for to bake The Delicious Yummy Rich Fruit and Nut Christmas Cake.

Notes

Use only Clean Glass jar for soaking fruits.
Every 2 to 3 days stir the soaked fruits with a wooden spatula. Do not use metallic spoon.
If the fruits seems to be dry add ¼ cup of wine and stir.
Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
