How to make Egg Fried Rice

Egg Fried Rice is a simple, easy and quick dish made under 15 minutes with the precooked rice.

Ingredients
  

  • cup rice
  • 3 onions medium sized
  • 5 eggs
  • 4 teaspoon pepper powder freshly ground
  • 3 tablespoon oil sunflower oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Pressure-cook rice for 2 whistles or cook as per your preference like either boiling the rice or in Instant pot. Do not cook the rice mushy or under cook. Keep the cooked rice aside. Meanwhile, in a thick, wide pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil on a medium heat. To it add cloves, a small piece of cinnamon and finely sliced onions and saute well.
  • Meanwhile, in a separate bowl crack open five eggs and add freshly ground pepper powder and salt to taste. Beat well until everything is mixed well.
  • Saute onions until turn golden brown. Now add beaten egg mixture to the fried onions.
  • Scramble the egg into big pieces and let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add precooked rice, freshly ground pepper powder and salt to the scrambled egg mixture and mix well. Toss the rice well until it is evenly mixed.
  • It is done! Simple, easy, quick Egg fried Rice is ready within few minutes with just few readily available ingredients in your pantry.
  • Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and serve it with Tomato ketchup or can have as it is.

Notes

You can use precooked cooked rice or leftover rice for this dish. You can add vegetables like cabbage, beans, carrot or peas to the egg as per your choice. If you want more spicy, increase pepper powder or some chilli sauce. Tweak the recipes as per your palates taste.
