Baby corn fritters is a crispy and easy recipe made using fresh baby corn and few other ingredients readily available in the pantry. It is a finger food and perfect for appetizers and snacks.
Select fresh baby corns and wash them thoroughly. Cut baby corn into half and keep it aside. Meanwhile, add water to a pan or kadhai and let it boil on high heat.
Add little salt and sliced baby corn to the boiling water and let it cook for two to three minutes. Let it not overcook, else it loses its crispness when air frying. Drain in a colander and keep it aside.
In a bowl, add gram flour, cornflour, chilli powder, salt and Ginger Garlic Paste and mix it until it is well combined.
To it, add drained baby corns and gently mix it. If the mix is slightly dry, add a teaspoon of water until the masalas are well coated.
Now, place a piece of aluminium foil in the crumb basket and preheat the air fryer at 180 C without fail. On a plate, add bread crumbs and roll the baby corn until it is well coated. Roll all the baby corn on bread crumbs and keep it aside.
Arrange as shown in the picture. Smear oil (gives nice golden colour) on top of the baby corn and air fry it for 15 to 17 minutes. During halfway of air frying (after 8 to 9 minutes), switch off the air fryer and turn and dab some oil on the corn pieces and continue air frying.
Crispy crunchy golden colour baby corn is ready to serve.
