How to make Poached Pears in Red wine?
Tender but firm pears is needed as it is to be boiled in wine for 20 to 25 minutes. Peel the pear and scoop the bottom to remove seeds . It also helps the fruit to rest in wine easily . Add red wine(your preference) in a deep pan which can hold the fruit and well immersed in wine on a low heat. To it add an inch of cinnamon stick and half cup sugar and stir well until sugar is completely dissolved. Now place the Pears in the boiling wine and let it cook on low heat.
