Simple/ Easy Fish Fry/ is succulent, delectable, moist, and crispy outside. A simple and straightforward recipe to prepare in no time with available ingredients in the pantry.

Simple/ Easy Fish Fry

This recipe needs the basics masala powder, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, and salt to taste. Sheela / Baracuda fish is my favourite Variety of fish used for this delectable preparation. This fish variety absorbs masalas well in few minutes and prepares within few minutes.

Marination is important to enhance the taste. I usually marinate fish pieces and keep it in fridge for 30 mins for a tasty fish fry. I pan fry fish with 2 tbsp of oil and health freaks can avoid oil and can grill in an oven which makes no change in taste or texture. This is a perfect and easy preparation for any parties as it consume less time to prepare and cook. You can serve as a Starter,or a side for any flavoured rice. But, I prefer to have with hot Rasam ( thin tomato tamarind soup) or Sambhar rice.

Simple Fish Fry/ Easy Fish Fry/ Pan Fried Fish
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Ingredients

Sheela fish – 1/2 kg

Sambhar powder – 3 tsp or Chilli powder -11/2 tsp and 11/2 tsp coriander powder.

Ginger garlic paste – 11/2 tsp

Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp

Salt – 3/4 tsp or to taste

Oil – 2 Tbsp

Water – 1/4 cup

Let’s see how to make simple, easy fish fry?

Clean and wash fish two to three times and pat dry on kitchen tissue. Get ready with all the masala powder.

In a mixing bowl add all the masala powder and ginger garlic paste and add little water and mix it like a paste that can coat well on fish.

Dip fish in the masala mix and let it coat well. Apply masala paste and keep the fish in the fridge for 30 mins which is optional.

Add oil in a pan and fry fish on medium heat. Flip fish piece gently and cook both the sides properly.

Transfer to an absorbent tissue and serve as Starter or a side to any flavoured rice or Sambhar or Rasam rice.
