Rajma (kidney bean) and its benefits
The star of this dish is kidney beans, which are a great source of protein, fibre, and vitamins. They are also low in fat and cholesterol, making them a great healthy choice.
In addition to the kidney beans, you can add other vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, beans, and bell peppers. Today I added potatoes to the beans, and it was so sumptuous. For even more flavour and richness, add coconut milk.
Rajma (Kidney Bean ) Varieties.
In the Indian market, there are three types of rajma available. They are red kidney beans, Kashmiri beans, and Chitra kidney beans. I used Chitra kidney beans for this recipe. This type of rajma gets its name from the Hindi word picture. The reason for this name is the subtle red lines that run across the surface of each bean.
