Chocolate Orange Marble Cake/Vanilla and Chocolate cake in a Bundt Pan without any glaze is a sheer beauty for both to Eyes and Palate.

Chocolate Orange Marble Cake

Marble cake has its own beauty of mixing any two or three different flavours according to individuals choice. I have combined my Favourite flavours Vanilla and Chocolate with an addition of Orange juice and orange zest to it.

This Cake is slightly dense, buttery, moist and not crumbly. With or without frosting, this cake is perfect for any time in a day. I have baked this cake many times with the combination of different flavours. It’s a simple and easy recipe to prepare and it tastes so yum with Sugar glaze or as it is. I prefer to have as it is with a cup of Coffee.

Every time I bake this cake ,I always tweak the recipe by adding some nuts or dry fruits or fresh juice or Chocolate chips etc. The end product will always be amazing and liked by all. In this recipe, I have added cocoa powder, freshly squeezed orange juice, orange zest and vanilla extract. Prepared cake batter is divided equally and cocoa powder is added to one half of the batter, gently mixed and then baked. I did not swirl the batter to make any patterns but filled the Bundt pan with the two different flavoured batter. Lets see the step by step preparation of the recipe. Do try and let me know your feedback in comments.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Baking Time : At 180 °C for 45 mins or wooden skewer inserted in the top should come out clean
Servings : 12
Ingredients

All Purpose Flour – 3 cups

Sugar – 2 ½ cup

Butter – 190 gms

Eggs – 6

Orange Juice – ¾ cup

Orange zest – 1 tsp

Cocoa Powder – ½ cup

Baking powder – 1 tbsp

Salt – 1 tsp

Procedure

Get ready with all the ingredients at room temperature.

Cream butter in an electric hand mixer and then add powdered sugar and cream it until fluffy.

Add egg one by one and incorporate the mixture quickly to avoid the curdling of the batter.

Sift All purpose flour, baking powder and salt together and slowly mix it in the mixture in an electric hand mixer on low speed for a minute or two.

Add freshly squeezed orange juice, orange zest and vanilla extract to the Cake batter.

Mix the batter on low speed until it is well combined. Meanwhile grease the Bundt pan thoroughly and dust all purpose flour well until it is well coated on all sides.

Pour half the cake batter in the pan and level with a spatula or tap the pan on the kitchen counter.

Add cocoa powder to the other half of cake batter and gently mix until it is well combined.

Pour the Cocoa Batter on top of the vanilla batter and gently tap the pan to level the Cake batter.

Bake at 180 °C for 45 to 50 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted comes out clean.
