Eggless Vanilla And Chocolate Twin Custard Cookies

Vanilla and Chocolate flavour are match made in heaven and my all time favourite in my Bakes. I wish that I could infuse these flavours in all my forth coming Dessert Recipes. This cookie recipe is a combination of All purpose flour, Butter ,Sugar ,Cocoa powder and Vanilla custard powder . The twist in the recipe is adding Vanilla custard powder which gives yummy ,delectable and scrumptious cookies .Simple and easy preparation with the correct measurement is all needed for this recipe.

This cookie can be made as a solo flavour by adding Vanilla custard powder alone but, I want to go with the classic combination and so added Cocoa powder to half the cookie dough and gave an interesting pattern to the Cookies. No fancy piping nozzle is needed to make the cookies and all I need is a fork . Create your own patterns according to your creative mind and can add any flavoured custard powder of your choice. Do try and let me know the feedback in comments. Lets jump to the easy step by preparation of the recipe.

I tried the recipe with same measurement but the biscuits melted. Why? Do we need to use Baking powder or soda?

      Hi Rakhi,
I need to know if the butter was in room temperature, all the ingredients was measured exactly (to T)and the temperature of the oven. If one or the other goes wrong it will end up in melted cookies. As I always say every oven behaves differently so do invest in getting an oven Thermometer. Do try again half the measurement and let me know the feedback. All the best .

      Hi Payal,
If you are new to baking first do try with butter . Substituting ingredients like replacing butter with oil All purpose flour with Whole wheat flour etc needs practice and it can done easily when you are well versed but the taste differs from the original. Happy Baking!

It is vanilla flavoured cornstarch powder used to make custard. It is easily available in India and you can buy it on line too. If it is not available at your place ,you can substitute with corn starch powder and favourite essence of your choice. Happy Baking????.

Hi, there may be two reason. One, the quantity of butter and the cookie dough consistency. Did you add milk to the cookie dough? Do let me know!
