Potato bites with sour cream cheese dip are one of the best Finger Food or Appetiser of Americans. Now it is widely liked all around the world.

POTATO BITES WITH SOUR CREAM CHEESE DIP

It is widely a common Appetiser loved both by vegetarians and non vegetarians and it’s simplicity cooking with minimum ingredients made me to try this recipe. I have made this recipe earlier with other dips but, this simple sour cream cheese dip is voted The Best combo liked by my family.

How to make Potato Bites with Sour Cream Dip?

The Potatoes are boiled, slightly smashed, seasoned with cayenne pepper, ground Paprika ,Garlic and Pepper seasoning and finally drizzled little vegetable oil and grilled until crispy and golden brown. Serve with simple Sour cream cheese Dip mixed with Peri Peri seasoning. Lets jump to the recipe with step by step preparation.

Preparation Time : 25 mins
Cooking Time : 50 mins
Serves : 5

INGREDIENTS

Potatoes – 8

Cayenne Pepper – 1/2 tsp

Ground Paprika – 1/2 tsp

Garlic and Pepper(seasoning) – 1/2 tsp

Oil – 2 tsp

Cheddar cheese – 2 small cube

For the Dip

Sour Cream – 1/2 container

Cheddar cheese – 1 small cube

Onion – 1 (finely chopped)

Tomato – 1( finely chopped)

Peri Peri Seasoning – 1/2 tsp

Coriander leaves – 1 fist

PROCEDURE

Pressure cook whole potatoes with salt for 10 minutes on a medium heat. Potatoes should be cooked until a knife pierces easily. Let it cool for 10 minutes. Crush each potatoes with a back of spatula. Arrange potatoes on a baking tray.

Season the potatoes with the cayenne pepper.ground paprika garlic and pepper seasoning and salt.

Drizzle vegetable oil on each potato.

Grill first on one side for 15 to 20 minutes and flip halfway through until golden brown and crisp for another 15 to 20 minutes. When it is done add some shredded cheese and bake for a minute or two until cheese starts to melt. Meanwhile, mix sour cream,shredded cheese,onion,tomato and coriander together and sprinkle Peri Peri seasoning according to taste.

Top each potato with 1 to 2 teaspoon full of sour cream Dip and garnish some more onion,tomato and coriander leaves while serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cheddar cheese (cube)
  • 1 Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 Tomato (finely chopped)
  • ½ tsp Peri Peri Seasoning
  • 1 Coriander leaves (handful)

Instructions
