Cauliflower egg fritters/ Gobi anda fritters is an easy and quick dish to make. It is an easy appetizer to prepare within few minutes. All you need is simple ingredients available in your pantry.

My family loves cauliflower in any form and, this recipe is our favourite. It is tender and succulent on the inside and slightly crispy egg edges outside. There are different ways to prepare cauliflower egg fritters. I’m sharing the easiest and quickest way, which any newbie in cooking can cook to perfection.
VARIATIONS
- I prefer using cauliflower in small florets. You can mince cauliflower in a food processor until finely minced and mix in egg mixture and make as patties.
- You can prepare the same recipe with Broccoli.
- If you love more heat, substitute with chilli powder
- If you are a great lover of cheese, add shredded cheese to the egg mixture.
- Any fresh or dried herbs will go well with this recipe.

Let’s see how to make cauliflower egg fritters/ Gobi anda fritters in step by step preparation
Clean and cut cauliflower as shown in the picture.
In a wide pan, add enough water with turmeric powder and salt to taste. In the boiling water, add cauliflower florets and blanch them for two to three minutes.
The cauliflower should not be overcooked. Now drain the water in a colander.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, add eggs, freshly ground peppercorns, chilli powder, and salt to taste( add salt to salt). Beat the eggs until the spices are combined.
Add blanched cauliflower to the egg mixture and mix well.
In a wide pan add oil on a low medium heat. Pour the cauliflower mixture gently and let it cook for five minutes.
After few minutes, gently flip it and cook it for three to four minutes.
When the egg and cauliflower combine and cook to perfection, switch off the flame. Separate individual cauliflower egg pieces gently with a spatula.
That’s it! Cauliflower egg fritters/ Gobi anda fritters is ready to serve.
Serving Options For Cauliflower Egg Fritters
You can serve as an appetizer or side with tomato sauce, mayonnaise, etc. Also, it pairs well with roti and naan.
Notes
Blanch cauliflower for only three to four minutes. Do not overcook! Add spice according to your taste. Also, you can add more eggs as per your wish.
