In my previous blog post Easy Moist Coffee Cake the topping for the cake was coffee sauce. As I mentioned in my last blog post ,today I’m sharing this easy peasy recipe with you all.
I use coffee sauce as a topping for desserts like ice cream, cakes, panna cotta etc. I bet even non coffee lovers would love this recipe and make frequently for desserts.
How to make a coffee sauce recipe?
To make this recipe, you don’t need fancy gadgets except a gas top, bowl, and ladle or spatula. The whole cooking time needs just 10 minutes from start to finish the recipe.
Firstly, boil 1 cup of water with sugar, instant coffee powder (granules), and butter together for 2 to 3 minutes until the sugar dissolves completely.
Secondly, mix cornstarch with 1 cup of water to a paste consistency. Finally, add cornflour paste to the boiling coffee-sugar mixture and stir well. Stir until the coffee mixture starts to thicken and coats the back of a ladle or spatula. It’s done! Isn’t it easy?

Do not use freshly brewed coffee. Use good-quality instant coffee powder/granules.
Do not use hot coffee sauce for topping a cake. Let it cool completely, or else the cake will become soggy.
