The coffee sauce recipe is one of the easiest and simplest recipes to make in a few minutes. Coffee (cafephile) lovers like me would not say NO to this flavorful coffee sauce for any reason.

This recipe is a simple and easy enough to prepare in no time. Yes, it takes only 10 minutes to prepare this sauce.

Simple and basic ingredients like instant coffee powder/granule, sugar, butter and cornflour is all needed for this recipe . In my previous blog post Easy Moist Coffee Cake the topping for the cake was coffee sauce. As I mentioned in my last blog post ,today I’m sharing this easy peasy recipe with you all.

I use coffee sauce as a topping for desserts like ice cream, cakes, panna cotta etc. I bet even non coffee lovers would love this recipe and make frequently for desserts.

How to make a coffee sauce recipe?

To make this recipe, you don’t need fancy gadgets except a gas top, bowl, and ladle or spatula. The whole cooking time needs just 10 minutes from start to finish the recipe.

Firstly, boil 1 cup of water with sugar, instant coffee powder (granules), and butter together for 2 to 3 minutes until the sugar dissolves completely.

Secondly, mix cornstarch with 1 cup of water to a paste consistency. Finally, add cornflour paste to the boiling coffee-sugar mixture and stir well. Stir until the coffee mixture starts to thicken and coats the back of a ladle or spatula. It’s done! Isn’t it easy?

Yes, flavorful, simple, easy coffee sauce can be made in under 10 minutes and topped with any flavored cake or dessert. I topped an Easy Moist Coffee Cake with it and garnished it with glazed cherries and mint leaves.

Now let’s jump to the step-by-step preparation of the coffee sauce recipe.

Boil 1 cup of water with sugar, coffee powder (granules), and butter together for 2 to 3 minutes.

Now add the cornflour mixture (cornflour powder mixed with 1 cup of water) to the boiling coffee syrup and stir well.

When the coffee mixture starts to thicken and coats the back of the ladle, switch off the flame and remove it from the gas top, and let it cool completely.

Top any cake with delicious coffee sauce and garnish as you wish. A delicious, scrumptious coffee-flavored cake, topped with simple coffee sauce, is ready to devour. Coffee sauce goes well on cake, ice cream, puddings, panna cotta, etc.

How to store coffee sauce?

Store coffee sauce in an airtight container (preferably a glass jar) and refrigerate. It stays good for a month or more if it is properly stored. Use a dry spoon for serving.

You can reheat coffee sauce and serve it warm, too. Serve coffee sauce as a topping for desserts like ice cream, cake, or pudding.

Hope you like this recipe! If so, do try and drop your feedback, which means a lot to me. Thank you so much for visiting my blog! Happy cooking!

Love this sauce! I’ve got lots left over though, how long will it last in the fridge do you think? I’m hoping you’ll say two weeks 😁
