Pan-fried chicken wings are made with few ingredients and are a perfect appetizer for any party and gathering. Simple and finger-licking good recipe all time and loved by all.

chicken wings served on a white round plate and garnished with onion and tomatoes.

These quickly pan-fried chicken wings need just a handful of ingredients to make. Yes, only six ingredients are all need for this crispy chicken wing recipe. The texture is crispy outside and succulent juicy inside. Serve as an appetizer or as the main dish with perfect sides or as sides.

If you are looking for an easy and quick chicken starter recipe, this recipe will not disappoint you. It hardly takes 25 to 30 minutes to finish from start to end.

You can cook this recipe on the stovetop with a pan, air fryer, and in the oven. Today I choose to make this recipe on the stovetop. It needs a pan or wok to fry crispy chicken wings.

Ingredients needed for pan-fried chicken wings

  • chicken wings
  • fresh ground pepper powder
  • all-purpose flour
  • cornflour
  • turmeric powder
  • salt

How to make pan-fried chicken wings

As I said earlier, regularly available pantry ingredients are all need for this recipe. Firstly, pat dry chicken wings dry on a kitchen towel to absorb moisture.
Secondly, add pepper powder, turmeric powder, all-purpose flour, cornflour, and salt to taste and gently mix until it coats well on the chicken wings.
Let it rest for only ten to fifteen minutes. In a pan, add a few teaspoons of oil and fry on medium to high heat until it is crispy outside and succulent inside.

Variations

For this simple recipe, I have simplified it with simple ingredients. I used only freshly ground peppercorns for heat. You can substitute it with chili powder or paprika. Also, for crispiness, you can substitute rice flour for cornflour.

After cooking the chicken wings, toss with garlic, honey, and soy sauce or, you can toss with store-bought or homemade bbq sauce until it evenly coats the chicken wings.

In a bowl add pat dried chicken wings and add freshly ground pepper corns, turmeric powder, corn flour, all-purpose flour and salt to taste.

Gently mix the chicken wings with the added masalas. If the masalas are too dry to coat on the chicken, sprinkle little water and mix well. Keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

In a wide pan, add three tablespoons of oil on medium heat and add chicken wings. Let it cook for two minutes and flip it and wait until it turns crispy golden chicken wings.

Transfer the cooked, pan-fried chicken wings onto absorbent kitchen paper and let them rest for few minutes.

Serving suggestion

Serve Chicken wings with any dipping sauce like ketchup, sour cream cheese dip, ( Potato Bites with Sour Cream Cheese Dip ) bbq sauce, and ranch. Choose according to your palate’s choice.

As chicken wings is a finger food, you can serve veggies like carrots, cucumber, boiled cauliflower, broccoli etc.

You can serve with any flavoured rice as a side too. It goes well with any Indian flavoured rice varieties like

South Indian style lemon rice

Tamarind Rice/ Imli Chawal

Coconut Rice/Nariyal Chawal.
